The Restaurant 1877 is located in Kjøttbasaren, a historic building in Bergen (Norway 🇳🇴) that was the city's only slaughterhouse when it was constructed in 1877. It also served as a market for vegetables and exotic spices, next to the local outdoor fish market. The building was spared from several attempts to demolish it and was finally protected in 1982. Today, it hosts various kinds of restaurants.

Restaurant 1877 authorized the Norwegian Voice-Acoustic and TENNAX distribution partner AMAS Produksjon Lyd & Lys as to design a new audio system. They wanted a sound system that would fill all rooms and areas with background music and gradually change to louder DJ music once the kitchen is closed. In addition, customers should be able to choose the desired music style in each room from three different options. Alternatively, they can also bring their own music on their mobile phone or tablet and connect it directly to the audio input panels in each room.

The client decided to go with Voice-Acoustics Alea-5 and Voice-Acoustic Paveosub-112sp DDA in the main room and TENNAX Centri-5pro with TENNAX Ventus-12sp self-powered subwoofers for the side rooms.

Tusen takk til Morten Paulsen and the entire AMAS team!
