The Paveosub-115sp-8K4 from Voice-Acoustic is an extremely compact, self-powered 15" bass-reflex subwoofer for professional sound reinforcement applications. Despite its small size, it combines powerful low-frequency reproduction, innovative system integration and a globally unique amplifier architecture in a single enclosure.

Four channels. 8.000 watts. A whole new world of possibilities.

At the heart of the system is a Powersoft Class-D amplifier module with a total output power of 8.000 watts. The power is distributed across four independent amplifier channels, each delivering 2.000 watts. With a high current delivery capacity of up to 54 A per channel, this innovative 4-channel concept opens up new possibilities for system design in mobile and fixed installations.

A single Paveosub-115sp-8K4 can power up to three additional Paveosub-115 slave subwoofers as well as additional top boxes in stereo, in addition to the integrated 15” driver. This allows the realization of powerful yet extremely compact sound reinforcement systems ranging from 2.1 to 8.4 configurations with minimal hardware requirements.

Highly relevant in practical terms is the ability to set up cardioid bass arrays using just one active and one passive subwoofer. The targeted reduction in rear noise emission improves working conditions on stage, significantly increases acoustic control within the venue, and helps event organisers comply with noise regulations at open-air and tent events.

Even with classic 2.2 systems, featuring two tops and two subs, the architecture offers decisive advantages: whilst three amplifier channels supply the main sound reinforcement, an additional channel remains available for monitoring, side fills, near fills, delay lines or a separate sound reinforcement zone. This exceptional flexibility makes the Paveosub-115sp-8K4(D) a unique solution in the active subwoofer market.

Input selection with future-proof connectivity

To ensure maximum system compatibility, the Paveosub-115sp-8K4(D) features analogue inputs as well as digital AES/EBU interfaces and – in the D version – an integrated Dante connection.

This allows the subwoofer to be seamlessly integrated into existing analogue, digital or network-based audio systems. Support for the open Milan standard is already in the pipeline and offers additional investment safety for future applications.

GEN3 DSP technology with FIR processing

The integrated GEN3 electronics utilise modern FIR filter technology for exceptionally precise signal processing. By linearising the frequency and phase response, the subwoofers and top cabinets work even better as an acoustic unit. The result is authentic impulse response, enhanced dynamics and more precise localisation of vocals and instruments within the stereo image.

Whilst conventional IIR filters can only correct the frequency response, FIR technology also enables optimisation of the phase response. As a result, the sound quality typical of Voice-Acoustic achieves an even higher level of transparency, naturalness and detail resolution.

Flexible preset architecture

For the first time, the new DSP platform allows individual speaker presets to be loaded into each individual output channel. Users benefit from maximum flexibility when configuring their system.

For full-range-capable top cabinets, special CUT-Top presets are available for use with the subwoofer as a front PA, as well as FR full-range presets for monitor, delay or stand-alone applications. In addition, established block presets ensure quick plug-and-play operation with all standard Voice-Acoustic bass-top combinations.

The Paveosub-115sp-8K4 is fully compatible with the entire Voice-Acoustic top cabinet portfolio.

Compact for installation and mobile applications

With a height of just 36 cm, the Paveosub-115/sp is the flattest 15” subwoofer on the market and is ideal for fixed installations where discreet integration into the architecture is required.

The design also impresses in mobile applications: the transport volume of just around 110 litres saves valuable space in the vehicle and simplifies logistics and handling. The ergonomically positioned handles, located at the centre of gravity and featuring an integrated water drain, enable comfortable and back-friendly transport.

Newly developed high-performance chassis

The Paveosub-115 features a newly developed 15‘ neodymium chassis with a 4’ voice coil and an AES power handling capacity of 1,200 watts. Three demodulation rings minimise distortion, whilst generously dimensioned cooling fins reduce power compression (heat loss) even at high continuous output levels.

The high linear excursion, combined with the low moving mass, ensures bass reproduction that is powerful, precise and deep-reaching in equal measure – something that would not be expected from such compact dimensions.

Precision starts with the cabinet. Built for heavy-duty professional use

The cabinet of the Paveosub-115 is made from high-quality birch plywood. Precisely CNC-machined parts, perfectly fitted joints, along with meticulous tongue-and-groove assembly, screw fastening and additional internal bracing ensure an exceptionally sturdy construction. This effectively minimises cabinet resonance even at high volumes, and the energy from the loudspeaker is converted almost entirely into acoustic output rather than being absorbed by resonating walls. The result is a very precise, tight and controlled bass response without any rumble. At the same time, the robust construction ensures high long-term stability and reliability in the demanding day-to-day demands of touring.

Sophisticated system integration

The Paveosub-115 can be used either horizontally or vertically. The stacking holes integrated on two sides, rubber feet and M20 threaded flanges allow for a variety of set-up options and optimal adaptation to a wide range of applications.

The subwoofer is particularly impressive in a vertical setup thanks to its slim profile.

The cabinet dimensions and stacking holes are also perfectly matched to the foodprint from the CXN-12 and CXN-16 stage monitors. With their identical width, the components together form a seamless system solution—both visually and functionally—for drum fills, DJ monitoring or demanding stage applications requiring deep bass.

A single active Paveosub-115sp-8K4(D) can power up to two CXN-16s in bi-amping mode or multiple CXN-12s or CXN-16s in a passive configuration.

Accessories that make all the difference

An extensive range of accessories, including flight mechanics, a 2-in-1 weather and transport cover, a removable rolling board, and a rolling dolly for transporting stacked units with optional levelling arms, further expands the range of applications.

Practical service-friendliness right down to the last detail

In the event of a service issue, the entire active electronics unit can be removed by the user in a matter of minutes and sent separately. There is no need for the costly shipping of the entire active subwoofer via a freight forwarder. This saves time, reduces logistics costs and ensures significantly faster service processing.

The upgradeability of passive subwoofers is particularly sustainable: Paveosub-115 models from the 2025 generation onwards can be retrofitted by the user at any time with the Voice-Acoustic HDSP-SPM Plate Amplifier to create a self-powered version featuring an 8,000-watt 4-channel power amplifier and DSP platform.
